Overview

Research, idea generation, archiving and competitor tracking, all wired into 22 Slack-triggered workflows running multi-model AI. Built self-hosted so the studio owns its data. The founder stopped doing the busywork and the output kept coming.

The challenge

9/16 Studio was producing content at volume, and drowning in the work around it: research, idea generation, file wrangling and performance tracking. They wanted the manual load gone without handing their data to a stack of external SaaS tools.

  • Manual research and link gathering across platforms
  • Performance tracking for every video by hand
  • Storing transcripts, thumbnails and metadata manually
  • Idea generation across multiple formats
  • Watching competitors and trends manually
  • Owning their data instead of renting it

Our approach

We built a self-hosted Content OS that turns Slack into the control panel for the whole operation, with AI doing the thinking in the background.

  • n8n orchestration with modular, reusable workflows
  • Slack channels as triggers that route work by team and purpose
  • AI idea generation and content analysis (OpenAI and Gemini)
  • Pinecone vector indexing for semantic search and memory
  • Transcript extraction and scraping via Apify and RapidAPI
  • Unified storage across Notion, Airtable and Google Sheets
  • Scheduled competitor and trend intelligence reports
